Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Merchant Acquisition Visit retail shops, vendors, and local businesses to pitch Paytm’s QR code, POS machines, Soundbox, and other payment solutions. Educate merchants about Paytm’s benefits, features, and how to use the platform. Onboard new merchants by completing digital KYC and registration processes. 2. Sales Target Achievement Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the company. Ensure daily targets of merchant sign-ups and active usage are met. 3. Product Promotion Promote Paytm’s full suite of services (e.g., Wallet, UPI, Postpaid, Business App). Upsell value-added services like Soundbox, insurance, or loan offers to existing merchants. 4. Market Mapping and Lead Generation Identify potential merchant clusters and plan field visits accordingly. Generate leads and maintain a pipeline of prospects using Paytm’s CRM tools or manual tracking. 5. Relationship Management Maintain a healthy relationship with onboarded merchants. Provide ongoing support for any technical or operational issues. 6. Reporting and Documentation Report daily field activities to the team lead or sales manager. Maintain proper documentation and KYC compliance for all merchant onboardings. 7. Customer Feedback Collect feedback from merchants to improve product offerings and service experience. Relay market trends and competitor information back to the product and marketing teams.
