Company Description Powertest Asia (PtA) has been providing specialist inspection and testing services for generators, HV motors, transformers, switchgear, surge arrestors, power cables, and HV bushings across power generation, distribution, and industry sectors since 1996. Our diagnostic test capabilities include visual inspection, wedge mapping, partial discharge tests, harmonic analysis, transformer oil analysis, and many others. Based in Hyderabad, PtA is known for its professional services and sophisticated equipment, ensuring the highest standards in power equipment testing and diagnostics. Role Description This is a full-time, Field Engineer role travelling across India and overseas for a Field Inspection Engineer. The Field Inspection Engineer will be responsible for conducting inspections, quality control, and testing on various power equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing visual inspections, wedge mapping, partial discharge tests, transformer oil analysis, harmonic analysis, and various electrical and mechanical tests. The engineer will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications Quality Control and Inspection skills Expertise in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Proficiency in Testing techniques and procedures Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Experience in the power generation industry is a plus Show more Show less
