FBV NPI GOODS APPLICATIONS

The Sr Manager position in the Commercial Vehicle Business Unit (CVBU) at Pune involves overseeing the fully built vehicles (FBV) function with a focus on sourcing critical aggregates for successful FBV delivery. The role requires effective planning and execution in sourcing to ensure regular availability of parts to all vendors. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing multi-supplier scenarios, handling multiple part procurement, and possessing knowledge of fully built vehicle aggregate parts such as wiring harness, axle, lamps, and tyres. Proficiency in Advanced Excel and other MS Office tools is also essential for this role. The candidate should hold a B.Tech/B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering and have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management and vendor/material management, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong communication skills are beneficial for interacting with part suppliers, planning teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and support in the procurement process. Key responsibilities of the role include monitoring scheduling and adherence, maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring part coverage for production, timely escalation of supplier non-performance, implementing alternate sourcing strategies, and negotiating critical parts procurement. The candidate should also focus on developing new parts and establishing them in production, while reviewing risks and creating mitigation plans when necessary.
