Job Description

1. Creative & Design Skills Strong fashion illustration (hand sketching and digital sketching) Knowledge of color theory, fabrics, and textures Ability to develop unique, marketable concepts Understanding of trends, consumer preferences, and cultural aesthetics 2. Technical Skills Proficiency in design software: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW Knowledge of pattern making, draping, and garment construction Familiarity with sizing standards and grading Understanding of textiles, materials, and surface embellishments 3. Industry Knowledge Awareness of fashion trends and forecasting Understanding of production processes (sampling, sourcing, quality checks) Knowledge of sustainability practices (increasingly important in fashion) Insight into different fashion segments (luxury, prêt-à-porter, fast fashion, etc.) 4. Business & Communication Skills Ability to translate ideas into technical packs for manufacturers Strong storytelling (concept boards, mood boards, collections) Collaboration with merchandisers, buyers, and marketing teams Time management to meet seasonal deadlines 5.
