Position: Faculty Chef

Experience : 8-10 years of industry experience

About the Role:

The Faculty Chef will train, guide, and mentor students in culinary through theory and practical classes. The role also includes ensuring professional kitchen operations, cost control, and effective resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct practical kitchen sessions and culinary theory classes as per the academic schedule.
• Teach students various cuisines, cooking methods, food preparation, plating, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Demonstrate recipes, techniques, and professional kitchen practices.
• Monitor student performance and ensure academic learning outcomes are achieved.
• Assist in budgeting, cost control, and efficient usage of kitchen ingredients and materials.
• Plan practical classes and menu items while maintaining cost-effective food production.
• Ensure kitchen labs are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Guide students during events, competitions, and outdoor catering when required.
• Support academic documentation, lesson plans, and training reports.
• Collaborate with faculty members and the academic team for smooth operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree/ in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
• Strong culinary experience in hot kitchen, cold kitchen, bakery, or pastry.
• Knowledge of food cost, budgeting, and kitchen inventory management.
• Teaching or training experience is an added advantage.
• Good communication and student-handling skills.
