Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • To ensure the smooth functioning of facility activities with respect to linen, pantry, housekeeping and PCA services.
  • To conduct daily rounds of the hospital to ensure smooth functioning of support services.
  • To conduct surprise checks of the facilities to ensure that the facilities are well maintained
  • To ensure that all service provider commitments are met and following up with them when necessary
  • To ensure that the TAT and other performance related parameters are met.
  • To be responsible for presenting the MIS reports to the management and ensuring that the MIS reports are analyzed and the problem areas improved
  • To ensure that the service providers follow the legal compliances
  • To ensure implementing NABH/ Quality protocols and policies on ground
  • To indent inventory as and when required
  • To be responsible for hostel booking and ensuring that the hostel facilities are up to standard.
  • To report any untoward incident to seniors.
  • To ensure preventive maintenance and timely repair of any non-functional equipment.
  • To Co-ordinate with pest control agency for proper pest control in the hospital.
  • To undertake periodical testing of water.
  • To be responsible for designing all housekeeping policies and procedure according to requires standards.
  • To be responsible for overall functioning of food-related services and solving all complaints from internal and external customers
  • To check on Housekeeping consumable/ stocks
  • To conduct trainings for vendor staff related to their job
  • To administer all facility department activities with a view of ensuring that sufficient manpower is present at all times and all activities are being done as planned
  • To evaluate the work performance of all personnel who report to the position.
  • To ensure career development and succession planning for team members.
  • To attend department meetings as and when conducted and actively participate in audits.
  • To ensure the grooming of team members is as per standards of the organization and routine checks conducted.
  • To be responsible for hiring, promotions, increments, discipline related actions for the team.
  • To lead manpower planning and management of the department
  • To ensure a detailed departmental induction is conducted for all new employees in the team and routinely reviewed with Training Manager and mentee.
  • To conduct mandatory technical trainings and assist the Training team in ensuring the appraisal identified trainings are duly covered for all team members.
  • To maintain relevant training documentation- Training Attendance, Feedback Forms & Evaluation for each training conducted
  • To recommend trainings and skill enhancement requirements to the Training team as and when required.
  • To ensure coverage of 6 training hours for the team and self.
  • To be responsible for overall QA program and the tracking of Key Performance indicators.
  • To maintain Quality Indicators and to analyze the trend and suggest improvement plans.
  • To ensure that incident reports are initiated and duly closed within the given TAT and appropriate preventive actions are implemented.
  • To maintain a feedback register with corrective and preventive measures.

  • To assist in conducting NABH general awareness training for the team & conduct departmental internal audit as per the audit check list.
  • To ensure the medical staff in the department undergo vaccination and annual medical check-up as per the requirement and timeline.
  • To be aware of all the safety codes and adhere to the related protocols
  • To carry out any other work assigned by the management

Who Can Apply?

  • Graduate / Masters in Facility Management or related field preferred
  • 5–8 years of experience in facility operations, housekeeping, and vendor management
