Facilities Manager

About the Role We are looking for a highly organized and hands-on Facility Manager to oversee the entire infrastructure and maintenance operations of our school campus. The ideal candidate will ensure that all school buildings, classrooms, playgrounds, and facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained, creating a secure and conducive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily maintenance of school facilities including classrooms, toilets, laboratories, play areas, staff rooms, and administrative offices. Oversee and manage all housekeeping, gardening, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, security, and transport staff. Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, fire safety, and building regulations applicable to educational institutions. Conduct regular facility inspections and preventive maintenance checks. Manage school infrastructure repairs, renovations, and new project implementation. Monitor school transport operations (if applicable), including vehicle maintenance, driver coordination, and route efficiency. Ensure proper upkeep of school assets including furniture, AV equipment, generators, and water tanks. Maintain inventory and records of maintenance materials, equipment, and consumables. Coordinate with school leadership, vendors, and contractors for service delivery and improvements. Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and breakdowns. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 2 years’ experience in facility or operations management, preferably in a school or educational setting. Strong technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems. Excellent team leadership, vendor coordination, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of school safety norms, sanitation guidelines, and compliance requirements. Preferred Attributes Ability to interact professionally with teachers, parents, and administrative staff. Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail. Calm and resourceful during emergencies or operational challenges.
