Fabric Merchandiser

As a Junior Fabric Merchandiser at Varthagam International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely fabric readiness for sampling and bulk production. Your responsibilities will include: - Daily follow-up with knitting units to track fabric production progress - Coordinating with dyeing houses for shade approvals, lead times, and priority orders - Monitoring compacting and washing schedules to ensure quality and timely output - Updating internal teams on fabric readiness and delays, if any - Maintaining records of fabric movement across each stage - Conducting physical visits to units when required to ensure smooth flow - Liaising with quality teams to ensure fabric standards are met before moving to cutting To qualify for this position, you should have: - Diploma or degree in Textile/Apparel Merchandising or related field - 02 years of experience (freshers with relevant internship experience are welcome) - Basic understanding of fabric processing stages (knitting to finishing) - Strong coordination and communication skills - Willingness to travel locally within Tirupur for vendor/unit visits - Basic knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and email communication At Varthagam International, you will gain: - Hands-on experience in fabric production coordination - Exposure to real-time factory/vendor operations - Growth opportunities within a young and fast-paced manufacturing company This is a permanent position with benefits such as paid time off, yearly bonus, and a day shift schedule.
