Description
You will be responsible for coordinating fabric production processes and ensuring timely fabric readiness for sampling and bulk production. Your role as a Junior Fabric Merchandiser at Varthagam International will involve daily follow-ups with knitting units, coordination with dyeing houses, monitoring compacting and washing schedules, updating internal teams on fabric readiness and delays, maintaining records of fabric movement, conducting physical visits to units when required, and liaising with quality teams to ensure fabric standards are met before cutting. Key Responsibilities: - Daily follow-up with knitting units to track fabric production progress - Coordinate with dyeing houses for shade approvals, lead times, and priority orders - Monitor compacting and washing schedules to ensure quality and timely output - Update internal teams on fabric readiness and any delays - Maintain records of fabric movement across each stage - Conduct physical visits to units for smooth flow - Liaise with quality teams to ensure fabric standards are met before cutting Qualifications Required: - Diploma or degree in Textile/Apparel Merchandising or related field - 02 years of experience (freshers with relevant internship experience are welcome) - Basic understanding of fabric processing stages (knitting to finishing) - Strong coordination and communication skills - Willingness to travel locally within Tirupur for vendor/unit visits - Basic knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and email communication About Us: Varthagam International is a fast-growing private-label apparel manufacturer based in Tirupur.
