Fabric Merchandiser

As a Fabric Sourcing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to identify and source suitable fabrics from reliable suppliers that align with design requirements and budget constraints. You will be tasked with coordinating fabric orders from the initial development phase through to bulk production, ensuring timely delivery of materials by monitoring production schedules. In this role, effective communication with suppliers will be crucial to resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing. Collaborating with suppliers and production teams, you will address and resolve any quality-related issues that may arise. It will also be essential to stay updated with the latest fabric trends, technologies, and market demands to ensure competitive sourcing strategies. To qualify for this position, you should hold a bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in fabric sourcing, development, and production management is required. Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office and relevant merchandising software. In addition to the core qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A willingness to travel to supplier locations when necessary is also a key requirement for this role.
