Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced RD Chemist to join our dynamic product development team This role will play a key part in formulating and optimizing personal care products aligned with market trends and customer expectations The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, creative formulation skills, and a passion for innovation in the cosmetic and personal care industry

Key Responsibilities

Develop and formulate innovative skin care, cosmetic, and oral care products Conduct stability testing, compatibility studies, and performance evaluations Source and evaluate raw materials for efficacy, safety, and regulatory compliance Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, quality, and regulatory Maintain thorough documentation of formulations, test results, and development processes Troubleshoot formulation issues and propose improvements based on feedback and testing Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements

Hard Skills

Proficiency in formulation science for skin care, hair care, color cosmetics, or oral care In-depth knowledge of raw material functionality, emulsions, surfactants, and preservation systems Experience with analytical testing methods, lab equipment, and stability protocols Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (BIS, FDA, EU, etc) and cosmetic labeling requirements Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Soft Skills

Creative mindset with attention to detail Strong communication and presentation skills Team player with a collaborative attitude Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities Proactive and self-motivated with an ownership mindset

Education Certifications

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field Additional certifications in Cosmetic Formulation, GMP, or Regulatory Affairs are a plus

Preferred Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in RD/product development in the cosmetic, personal care, or oral care industry Experience in a private label or contract manufacturing environment is highly preferred Proven track record of launching successful products from concept to commercialization
