Expediter

Role Overview: You will be joining Johnson Controls as an Expeditor, where your main responsibility will be to ensure critical deliveries arrive at their destinations on time. Your role will involve communicating with vendors and shipping companies, reporting any pending delivery delays to project management, and coordinating with various departments and suppliers for smooth execution of orders. Key Responsibilities: - Communicate with vendors and shipping companies to ensure timely delivery of critical orders - Report any pending delivery delays to project management - Work with shipping companies to expedite deliveries to their destinations - Take charge of the process from issuing PO until material reaches the company - Prepare expediting sheet to monitor manufacturing progress at the supplier - Follow up and expedite deliveries through personal visits, email, and phone - Coordinate with departments and suppliers for order clarification - Keep track of ordered material until it reaches the company - Coordinate with the planning department to prioritize orders Qualifications Required: - Excellent vendor communication skills - Strong time management skills - Commitment to meeting corporate deadlines - Ability to receive critical orders on time - Prior experience in expediting or supply chain management is preferred - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics is a plus,
