Job Description

Position Overview

Preparation and filing of
TDS returns
, and
advance tax computations
.
Ensure timely payment and accurate accounting of
TDS/TCS
.
Prepare and reconcile
Form 26AS, TIS/ AIS
, and ledgers.

2. Tax Audits & Regulatory Filings

Coordinate with statutory auditors for
Tax Audit (Form 3CD)
and related documentation.

3. Tax Assessments & Litigation Support

Handle
scrutiny assessments, appeals, and notices
from Income Tax Authorities.
Draft replies to
notices under sections 143(1), 143(2), 147, 148, 154, 133(6), 142(1)
, etc.

4. Tax Planning & Advisory

Provide guidance on
tax-efficient structures, incentives, deductions
, and corporate transactions.
Evaluate the tax implications of business proposals, agreements, cross-border transactions, and new regulations.
Monitor changes in tax laws, CBDT circulars, and judicial rulings.

5. Financial Analysis & Reporting

Maintain tax records, reconciliations, MIS, and management reports.
Work with finance and accounting teams for month-end closure.

6. Process Improvement

Implement internal controls to strengthen tax processes.
Support automation of tax workflows (TDS tracking, return filing, documentation management).

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of the
Income Tax Act, 1961
.
Experience with
TDS software (e.g., Saral),
and Excel.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication and drafting skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Attention to detail and strong documentation discipline.
