About The Role :
Graduate in Engineering /Science/Geology back ground, and must have worked for 3 -5 years in theProduction & Processingdepartment of a mid-to large size Marble or Granite ProcessingFactoryfor Exports of Tiles and Slabs, as the major business activity.Must have hands-onexperience in operating and managingMarble or Granite Production / Process lines in Marble or Granite Factory – especially on Italian Machines for Block Dressing, Gangsaws, Bridge Cutters, EOT Cranes, Resin Line, Polish Lines, Tile Cutting and Finishing lines etc.Must have handled 2-3 machines at a time on a line, and/or handled multiples process lines like Gangsaw and Resin Line or Tile Polish Line at the same time with a mid-sized team of Line Operators.Implement and monitor systematic process steps for block verification, dressing, sawing, resin application, curing and further processing.Supervise Production process for quality output and efficient operations – as per defined customer standards and to confirm to International Quality Standards.Document the process parameters for operation of all machines to ensure proper and efficient production of quality output.Must ensure effective and proper configuration of the line, effective usage of abrasive, chemicals, raw material etc., for ensuring delivery of production as per plan and that output is as per Customer’s requirement - at least possible cost for the factory (input – output maximization) and to reduce cost of repeat works on increased consumption of raw materials.Monitor and control process operations on usage of blades, consumables, water, abrasives, curing etc. such that efficient and effective operations are carried out.Coordinate with Quarry, Maintenance, Quality and Logistics teams to drive yield for output maximization.Implement the best practices of in Production / Processing in the Factory for ensuring continuous upgradation of process and team members.Drive the certification of Factory Processes on ISO parameters within the shortest possible time.Must deliver short training sessions to Operators, Supervisors etc. so as to make them well versed in Production and Quality aspects and parameters and to ensure their compliance during the production process for First-Time-Right way of processing.Maintain the production process logs and data and drive the machine / line configuration (as per business deliverables), such that the First-Time-Right way of processing is being adhered too, during the entire production process.Plan the Maintenance of machines on a periodic basis so as to ensure effective operations and least downtime.Must have good knowledge about Production Process in marble / granite industry especially about Machines used and operated, raw materials + consumables used in the production processes including adhesives etc.Must have in-depth knowledge of marble / granite blocks, related quality standards and tolerance limits for slabs, tiles and finished products, to ensure production is as per international market/ export market standards.Must be having a good eye for details so as to identity the wrong / erroneous points/end in the process which is ignored by Operators.Must havehands-on experience in identifying process lapses /errors before it causes any major issues / leads to poor quality of finished products.Must have problem solving skills based on the depth of his knowledge on process, consumables and raw-materials used in processes.Must have handled maintenance issues and suggested ways and means for problem solving at shop-floor level.Must be positive and polite in dealing withoperators, supervisors and co-employeesto ensure thatprocess changes are implemented for improved qualityand deviation are not allowed.Must be willing to take the stretch and deliver services to the business as per business exigencies.Must be positively oriented in renderinggrowth ofbusinesswith quality production of finished goods.Must have strongcomputer skills – MS Office / SAP etc.Must be willing to work in shift-rota as per business requirements.
