As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for various tasks related to computerisation and technology management in the banking sector. Your key responsibilities will include: - Working out a computerisation plan for the Bank, including keeping track of all mechanisation projects such as those implemented, under implementation, sanctioned but yet to start, etc. - Planning and developing resources to train manpower for handling computerisation projects at all levels. - Monitoring and resolving problems in hardware and software areas in branches, assisting in problem-solving, and ensuring the maintenance of proper fall-back systems. - Assisting other departments in identifying and purchasing software and hardware for operations. - Analyzing technology-oriented new products in the market and suggesting advancements to the Board of Directors. - Implementing data security measures and disaster control procedures to ensure data integrity. - Controlling and monitoring outside computer processing agencies, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and developing plans for alternative in-house processing systems. - Monitoring the benefits of mechanisation in terms of improved customer service, accuracy, and resource optimization for additional business development. - Allocating available resources, both manpower and hardware, to ensure smooth functioning of the Data Processing schedule. - Liaising with external computer agencies to assess their services and arranging for such services as needed. - Collecting, storing, and processing data related to the Bank's operations, and providing processed data to user departments. - Identifying internal and external sources of data useful to Branch Heads at various levels. - Analysis and development of digital banking products. - Undertaking other tasks related to the Information Technology Department. This role will require you to stay updated with the latest technological developments, analyze problem areas, and develop strategies to enhance the Bank's technology infrastructure effectively.
