Executive - Tool Engineering

1. Scope of the role

Will be responsible for Execution of Tool Designs for Movement, Assembly & OEM Functions.

2. Job Profile

• Ensure adequate Input from customers to design the Tool.
• Design Press Tools, Jigs/Fixtures, Cutting tools, Gauges, Productivity Improvement devices to manufacture Movement components using Creo, Solid works & Auto CAD software.
• Co-ordinate with Product Design, Tool Room, PED, Manufacturing shops & other functions.
• Ensure the quality of design output.
• Maintenance & up-keeping of drawings/records at Tool Engineering Archives.
• Validate the Tool design for Manufacturability and good Tool Life.
• Conduct Design Reviews.

3. Key Deliverables

• Creo & Solid works 3D models & Engineering Drawings.
• Press Tools, Jig / Fixtures, Cutting tool, Gauge designs.
• Error free designs within scheduled time.
• Design solutions to solve shop floor issues.
• Tool designs for Productivity Improvement.
• Designs for Improved Tool life.

4. The right person

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with Post diploma in Tool design or Diploma in Tool & Die Making

  with

  5.0 years of experience in tool design.

• Tool design Knowledge on Sheet metal Progressive Stamping.
• Press tool design knowledge on Terminals, connectors and Drawing parts.
• Hands on experience in Creo, Solid works and Auto CAD.
• Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Knowledge of processes at Precision parts manufacturing and Tool room would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Engineering Materials.
• Exposure in trouble shooting.
• Self motivated with Good inter-personnel skills.
• Urge to update knowledge on the latest soft wares & technologies available.
