Summary The Store Executive is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing inventory, leading the sales team, and ensuring a superior shopping experience for customers. This role demands strong leadership, organizational skills, and a customer-centric approach. Role & responsibilities 1. Inventory & Warehouse Management Maintain accurate records of raw materials, spare parts, consumables, and finished goods. Implement inventory control methods like FIFO (First In, First Out) and LIFO (Last In, First Out) to optimize material usage. Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies between system records and actual inventory. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials according to industry standards. 2. Material Handling & Logistics Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming goods for quality and accuracy against purchase orders. Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Manage the issuance of materials to production lines based on job orders and maintain records of goods issued. Prepare dispatch documents such as invoices, packing lists, and gate passes for outgoing shipments. 3. ERP & Documentation Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally) for inventory tracking, purchase order management, and reporting. Maintain accurate documentation for all inventory movements, including adjustments for damaged goods. Generate reports on inventory status, consumption patterns, and stock levels for management review. 4. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to material storage and handling. Implement and enforce 5S practices to maintain cleanliness and organization within the store. Provide regular training to staff on safety procedures and ensure awareness of potential hazards. 5. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality assurance departments to align material availability with production schedules. Participate in vendor evaluation and development to ensure reliable supply chain operations. Assist in budgeting and cost-control measures to improve profitability. Preferred candidate profile Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Inventory Management : Proficiency in managing stock levels, conducting audits, and utilizing inventory management software. Customer Service Excellence : Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and handling complaints efficiently. Financial Proficiency : Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and managing store expenditures. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with staff, customers, and suppliers. Problem-Solving Abilities : Capable of addressing operational challenges and implementing effective solutions promptly.
