Position Overview

As a Sous Chef at Dacations, you will be the right hand of the Executive Chef—responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, mentoring junior staff, maintaining food quality, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. You’ll have the opportunity to cook and create in a dynamic, guest-focused environment that values innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations
• Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portioning
• Manage inventory, food costs, and kitchen waste reduction
• Train and mentor line cooks and prep staff
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
• Participate in menu planning and seasonal menu changes
• Step in for the Executive Chef during absences
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless guest service

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong line cook ready to step up
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred
• Knowledge of a variety of cuisines (international or resort-style a plus)
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
