Job Description

Exhilarate your passion for gemstones by joining our team as gemmologist! Key Responsibilities Testing and Identifying all types of gemstones and their synthetic and treated counterparts, using standard gemmological tools. Grading of polished diamonds (loose and mounted) on the basis of International System. Recording of all descriptive and gemmological data of gemstones using all gemmological instruments. Creation and upgradation of data bank on regular basis. Operation and analysis of samples on all available instruments, including advanced equipment such as FTIR, EDXRF, LRS, UV-Vis-NIR spectrometers, etc. (Training will be provided on using these instruments). Explaining technical details to clients addressing their concerns regarding a report / identification Providing all required information to the clients / visitors Maintenance of the instruments being used Additional Responsibilities Research on existing and new techniques of identification and publishing articles / papers on the basis of results drawn. Any other job assigned from time to time. Essential Qualification: Diploma in Gemmology and Diamonds from institutes like GIA (G.G), Gem-A (FGA) or equivalent . Experience: Minimum 2 years in laboratory environment or certification of coloured gemstones and diamonds. If you meet with these requirements, then share your resume on hr@iigjrlc.org
