About the Department

MIT-WPU’s Department of Spirituality & Peace Studies focuses on nurturing mindfulness, emotional intelligence, value-based education, and holistic well-being among students. The program integrates yoga, meditation, peace studies, value systems, and spiritual development to help learners build a balanced and meaningful life.

Qualifications Required

Instructor

• • Minimum: Graduation in any discipline

• • Candidates with certifications in yoga, meditation, mindfulness, philosophy, spirituality, or peace studies will be preferred.

Senior Instructor

• • Minimum: Graduation in any discipline

• • Additional preferred qualifications:

• • 2–5 years of experience in teaching, training, or conducting sessions related to spirituality, peace, yoga, meditation, or value education

• • Recognized certifications in spiritual studies, yoga, peace education, or related fields

Key Responsibilities

• • Conduct regular sessions on spirituality, meditation, and peace education

• • Guide students in mindfulness, stress management, and value-based learning

• • Assist in organizing workshops, retreats, and holistic development programs

• • Maintain discipline and decorum during sessions

• • Support student well-being initiatives

• • Contribute to curriculum enhancement and activity planning

• • Collaborate with faculty, trainers, and administrative teams

• • Maintain attendance, progress records, and session documentation

• • Ensure a positive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment
