Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Drywall Estimator / Lumber Estimator Location: Coimbatore, Hyderabad, India (No Work From Home). Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Construction / Estimating / Drywall Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Estimator with proven experience using Cubit and Planswift software. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for drywall projects, from takeoff through final bid. This role requires a deep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and drywall installation methods. Key Responsibilities: Review architectural drawings and project specifications to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. Utilize Cubit and Planswift software to perform digital takeoffs with precision and speed. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine overall project costs. Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather and validate pricing. Prepare and submit bid proposals, budgets, and change order estimates. Maintain and update a cost database for labor and materials. Participate in project handovers, providing detailed insights and clarifications to operations teams. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks associated with projects. Ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and company policies. Qualifications: Proven experience (2+ years preferred) as a drywall or lumber in commercial and/or residential construction. Proficiency in Cubit and Planswift is mandatory. Strong understanding of drywall systems, materials, and installation methods. Ability to interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents. Excellent math and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
