Responsibilities: Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs. Project Analysis: Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and other documents to create comprehensive estimates. Subcontractor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to secure competitive bids and manage agreements. Cost Tracking: Monitor and track project costs, identify potential cost variances, and adjust estimates as needed. Reporting: Prepare and present cost estimates, reports, and analyses to management, architects, and project managers. Change Order Management: Review and analyze change orders and proposals for accuracy and completeness. Collaboration: Work with project teams, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate estimation and project alignment. Budgeting: Develop cost plans, monitor budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Key Skills: Estimation: Expertise in various estimation methods, software, and tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project plans, specifications, and historical cost data. Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Negotiation: Ability to negotiate favorable terms with subcontractors and suppliers. Problem-solving: Capacity to identify and resolve cost discrepancies and other issues. Project Management: Understanding of project management principles and processes.
