Estimation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare formwork design and layout drawings for various civil and structural projects (high-rise, bridges, metro, flyovers, industrial structures).
• Estimate material, manpower, and cost requirements for formwork systems based on project specifications and site conditions.
• Interpret structural/architectural drawings and propose suitable formwork solutions.
• Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimation for formwork materials.
• Optimize designs to ensure safety, cost-effectiveness, and ease of execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to finalize formwork design and material requirements.
• Modify/update formwork design as per site conditions and client requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, safety standards, and company guidelines.
• Provide technical support during the erection and dismantling of formwork systems.
• Maintain records of standard design solutions and estimation templates for future projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 25 years of experience in

  formwork design and estimation

  (experience in metro/bridges/high-rise projects will be preferred).
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals, structural drawings, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (knowledge of STAAD/REVIT/TEKLA will be an advantage).
• Good mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare BOQs and cost estimates accurately.
