Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Costing & Estimation Engineer with expertise in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Turnkey Greenfield Projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing accurate project cost estimates, BOQ analysis, and tender documentation for instrumentation and electrical packages for industrial projects across sectors like Oil & Gas, Power, Steel, and Chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation :

• • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and commercial bids for E&I greenfield projects.
• • Study client tender specifications, drawings, and scope of work to prepare accurate quotations.
• • Float RFQs to suppliers/subcontractors and evaluate techno-commercial offers.
• • Develop cost sheets for materials, labor, subcontracting, logistics, and overheads.

Technical Coordination:

• • Liaise with engineering and procurement teams to gather inputs for estimation.
• • Interact with vendors for pricing, technical clarifications, and delivery timelines.
• • Conduct pre-bid meetings and coordinate with client representatives during the bidding phase.

Cost Control Support:

• • Maintain cost databases for equipment, cabling, instrumentation, and installation.
• • Assist in project budgeting and handover of cost data to execution teams post-award.
• • Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting:

• • Prepare estimation summaries, price breakups, and techno-commercial proposals.
• • Maintain historical cost records and update estimation tools and templates.
• • Provide regular updates to senior management on tender status and bidding pipeline.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• • Degree/Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
• • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in E&I project costing and estimation.
• • Strong knowledge of greenfield industrial project scopes (Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Steel, etc.).
• • Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software/tools.
• • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
