Equity Research Analyst

As an Equity Research Analyst, you will provide in-depth economic analysis and insights into publicly traded companies, with a primary focus on stock valuation and investment opportunities. You will analyze financial statements, perform valuations, and develop economic models to forecast future performance, ultimately providing recommendations to investors and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough research on companies and industries, analyzing financial statements, market trends, and economic factors. - Build financial models (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis) to assess the value and potential of equities. - Prepare detailed reports and presentations, communicating research findings and investment recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. - Develop and maintain relationships with investor relations teams, company executives, and other relevant contacts. - Stay informed about market news, economic developments, and industry trends, updating research accordingly. - Work with other teams, including sales and trading, to respond to news, corporate actions, and reporting events. - Present research findings in meetings and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. - Professional certifications such as CFA designation (Chartered Financial Analyst) and/or Series 7 and 86 exams are often sought after. - Some positions may require previous experience in financial analysis or research.
