Role & responsibilities

Job Profile

• Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation and recommendation reports.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, planners, hazardous waste technicians, engineers, and other specialists, and experts in law and business to address environmental problems.
• To Audit Disposal of waste products such as water and plastics, particularly high-volume industrial waste
• environmental compliance - ensuring minimal environmental impact from spills or emissions
• To Audit flood risk and drainage
• To Audit and do the salary slip management of pollutants that can harm the natural environment
• Gather data from a range of sources through site assessments, environmental monitoring and third party reports
• Inspect industrial and municipal facilities and programs in order to evaluate operational effectiveness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Provide administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project documentation, training staff, and performing other general administrative duties.
• Develop proposed project objectives and targets, and report to management on progress in attaining them. Evaluate the environmental impact of the project, hazard or commercial operation
• Write up and present findings, costings, health and safety plans and recommendations on the containment, clean-up process, remediation, recycling and waste disposal, in order to fix environmental issues
• Create plans to protect and restore the environment by removing contaminants from water, air and land
• Develop site-specific health and safety protocols such as spill contingency plans or methods for loading and transporting raw materials
• Provide advice about preventing future difficulties
• Implement, manage and supervise the day-to-day tasks of construction and remediation schemes
• Regularly liaise with Corporations and local authorities relating to planning aspects of projects
• Provide advice to and work alongside other professionals, such as environmental scientists, planners, construction workers, lawyers and landowners to address environmental problems and promote environmental sustainability
• Be familiar with current environmental regulations and guidance.
• Designing technology for pollution control and waste management.
• Collecting and analyzing environmental data.
• Carrying out site assessments to determine environmental impact of commercial activity.
• Studying human influences on the environment.
• Improving environmental conservation management, including recycling, public health and water and air pollution.
• Identifying critical research areas such as renewable energy, climate change and food and water security.
• Undertaking environmental protection projects such as designing air pollution management systems.
• Ensuring design projects comply with environmental and health regulations.
• Writing reports on their environmental investigative efforts.
• Consulting and advising policymakers on environmental best practices.

• Obtain, update, and maintain plans, permits, and standard operating procedures
• Provide technical support for environmental remediation projects and for legal actions
• Analyze scientific data and do quality-control checks
• Monitor the progress of environmental improvement programs
• Inspect industrial and municipal facilities and programs in order to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Advise corporations and government agencies about procedures for cleaning up contaminated sites
• Environmental engineers must be able to write clearly so that others without their specific training can understand their plans, proposals, specifications, findings, and other documents.
• Prepare and maintain environmental documentations for reference purposes.
• Assist in environmental audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Assist in getting and maintaining environmental permits for industries.
• Stay updated with air, water and waste regulations as defined by state and federal laws.
• Review and recommend improvements to existing environmental programs to reduce environmental damages.
• Provide assistance and job trainings to team members as needed.

Analyze root causes of environmental incidents and propose corrective action plans.
