Job Description

Role Overview: As a Hydrological Modeling Engineer, your main responsibility will be to conduct hydrological modeling and flood modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, QGIS, and other relevant software. You will also be required to perform watershed analysis and flood risk assessment, analyze historical rainfall data, and estimate discharge for key return periods using statistical distribution analysis. Additionally, you will be analyzing and interpreting data from remote sensing and GIS applications. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct hydrological modeling and flood modeling using software like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and QGIS - Perform watershed analysis and flood risk assessment - Analyze historical rainfall data for estimating discharge - Interpret data from remote sensing and GIS applications - Review topography and hydrology reports - Provide technical support on hydrological and flood inundation modeling - Coordinate with clients on model development, data collection, and project updates - Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and presentations for clients - Conduct field visits for hydrological data collection - Have a basic understanding of stormwater drainage design - Review hydrological analysis and flood risk assessment reports - Perform and assess drone topography surveys at the site and coordinate with pilots - Understand soil properties and geotechnical investigation assessment and evaluation Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in hydrological modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and QGIS - Strong analytical skills for interpreting rainfall data and conducting watershed analysis - Knowledge of statistical distribution analysis for estimating discharge - Experience in remote sensing and GIS applications - Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and presenting project outcomes - Ability to conduct field visits for data collection - Basic understanding of stormwater drainage design and soil properties - Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting hydrological analysis and flood risk assessment reports - Experience in drone topography surveys and geotechnical investigation assessment would be a plus Role Overview: As a Hydrological Modeling Engineer, your main responsibility will be to conduct hydrological modeling and flood modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, QGIS, and other relevant software.
