Key Responsibilities:

1. Environmental Compliance & NOCs:

   Ensure 100% compliance with environmental regulations, laws, and standards applicable to sugar and distillery units. Responsible for obtaining, renewing, and maintaining statutory clearances such as EC, CTE, CTO, SGWD, Hazardous Waste Authorization, etc.

2. Regulatory Knowledge:

   Stay abreast of current environmental legislations and guidelines issued by SPCB, CPCB, SGWD, and MoEF&CC, and ensure their effective implementation at the plant level.

3. Environmental Monitoring:

   Conduct regular inspections, sampling, and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to all consent and environmental conditions.

4. Waste Management:

   Develop, implement, and oversee waste management systems for waste sludge, fly ash, hazardous waste, and other by-products as per regulatory norms.

5. Air, Water & Noise Quality Management:

   Monitor and control emissions, effluent discharge, and noise levels, ensuring compliance with prescribed environmental standards.

6. Reporting & Documentation:

   Prepare, maintain, and submit periodic environmental statements, returns, and compliance reports to respective regulatory bodies within stipulated timelines.

7. Training & Awareness:

   Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees on environmental practices, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.

8. Effluent & Water Management:

   Ensure operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and compliance with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) or norms as per Pollution Control Board requirements.
