Environmental Engineer

As an Environmental Engineer at our company in Coimbatore, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the operation, maintenance, and compliance of our sewage treatment facilities. Your responsibilities will include: - Supervising the operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructure. Identifying and resolving issues in sewage collection and disposal systems promptly. - Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and local wastewater management standards. Preparing and submitting reports to regulatory authorities accurately and in a timely manner. - Conducting regular inspections, sampling, and analysis of wastewater to monitor quality. Preparing detailed performance reports and recommending improvements based on data analysis. - Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of sewage systems. Researching and adopting new technologies for wastewater treatment processes. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and training to ensure effective team performance. - Promoting and enforcing safety protocols for all sewage operations. Minimizing environmental impact through innovative and sustainable practices. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sewage treatment or wastewater management. You should have strong knowledge of sewage systems, wastewater treatment processes, and environmental regulations. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and related technical documentation, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills are also essential. If you have experience with advanced wastewater treatment technologies, certification in wastewater treatment or environmental management, and familiarity with safety and quality management systems, it would be considered a plus.
