Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the design and planning of wet utility projects, including water, wastewater, and stormwater networks. Design water and wastewater transmission pipelines, coordinate utilities, investigate stormwater systems, and handle cross-connections. Conduct hydraulic and hydrological modeling and update system models. Guide team members in using technologies such as Civil3D, SewerGems, WaterGems, AutoCAD, BIM, Mike Plus, Epanet, ArcGIS, and Excel. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards including water, irrigation, firefighting, and road administration authority regulations. Liaise with service provider agencies for NOCs and design approvals. Collaborate with stakeholders including municipalities, city development offices, and transport administrations. Assist main designers in updating water system models, sewage, and stormwater installations. Ensure proper design and implementation of water and pressure waste networks, including utility coordination of existing installations. Prepare designs, drawings, technical reports, specifications, and schedules. Manage junior technical staff, plan workloads, and mentor team members. Identify opportunities to grow the team and bring new skills into the group. Contribute to continuous quality improvement and stay updated with industry innovations.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting researchers in the team by: - Conducting literature reviews and background research on GIS and remote sensing applications in climate studies. - Contributing to desk research on policy frameworks that integrate GIS and remote sensing for climate change adaptation and mitigation. - Assisting in the acquisition and preprocessing of geospatial datasets, such as satellite imagery, climate models, and remote sensing data. - Aiding in data cleaning, formatting, and quality assurance to maintain consistency and usability. - Applying spatial analysis techniques like land use/land cover classification, hydrological modeling, and environmental monitoring. - Utilizing GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools (e.g., Google Earth Engine) for spatial analysis. - Contributing to visualization efforts, including creating thematic maps, charts, and interactive dashboards. - Supporting the development of reports, presentations, and other research products. - Actively participating in team meetings and discussions. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Educational background: Pursuing or recently graduated with a master's degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field. - Professional Attributes: A strong understanding of GIS tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, and remote sensing software. Basic programming knowledge in Python, R, or MATLAB for geospatial analysis is preferred. Familiarity with climate data sources, including satellite imagery and climate model outputs. Knowledge of data visualization tools for geospatial analysis. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
