Your responsibilities will include structural design of highway pavements, traffic analysis, and pavement design based on DMRB/AASHTO/Australian/ME design standards. You will be involved in the preparation of pavement plans, cross-sections, and construction details, as well as writing pavement construction specifications. Additionally, you will conduct pavement and geotechnical investigations, analyze factual data, and produce high-quality technical output. Assigning work to graduates and technicians, reporting performance regularly, communicating with counterparts, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams are also part of your role. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and proposing preliminary engineering solutions based on site conditions and project requirements. You will prepare preliminary designs for various structures including foundations, embankments, open-cut slopes, retaining structures, reinforced earth walls, and underground excavation support systems. It will be your task to define methodologies for the execution of geotechnical works and estimate the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) during the tendering stage to ensure accurate quantity assessments. Your role will also involve preparing technical documents that specify investigation requirements for detailed design development, as well as creating technical specifications of materials for procurement needs. You will be responsible for conducting and monitoring field mapping, investigations, and topographical surveys, as well as preparing Geological and Geotechnical Investigation Reports (GIR), Geotechnical Baseline Reports (GBR), and Design Basis Reports. Additionally, you will be involved in detailed design and engineering for various structures such as foundations, embankments, open-cut slopes, retaining structures, reinforced earth walls, and large underground structures.
