  MTech in Geotechnical Engineering is must

• Experience:

  At least 10 years of work experience in management of laboratory for geotechnical/ concrete/structural elements testing / investigation of civil engineering works.

Position Overview

The Base Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the overall setup, operation, and supervision of the central quality control laboratory at Hanumangarh under the RWSRPD Project. The role involves ensuring that all construction materials are tested, verified, and documented in accordance with approved quality plans, IS codes, and project specifications. The position requires strong technical knowledge in laboratory management, testing procedures, calibration, and digital recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, and maintain the central quality control laboratory at Hanumangarh, ensuring readiness and compliance with NDB and WRD standards.
  
• Supervise material testing for civil, mechanical, and electrical components (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete, soil, bitumen, pipes, valves, etc.) as per relevant IS/BIS codes.
  
• Ensure calibration, maintenance, and periodic verification of all testing equipment and instruments.
  
• Manage sample collection, test scheduling, and reporting systems from site laboratories and field divisions.
  
• Review and validate test reports prepared by laboratory technicians before submission to the Team Leader and PMU.
  
• Maintain detailed records of all tests, calibration logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) in both manual and digital formats using BLGs in-house cloud-based QA system.
  
• Train and guide laboratory staff in standard test procedures, data recording, safety practices, and environmental compliance.
  
• Ensure the laboratory functions as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and project-specific QA/QC protocols.
