Environment Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to all environmental laws, rules, and statutory regulations applicable to real estate projects.
• Manage the Environmental Clearance (EC) and Consent to Establish/Operate processes with Pollution Control Boards.
• Handle liaisoning activities with government agencies, regulatory bodies, pollution boards, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and risk assessments for proposed projects.
• Develop and implement sustainability and green building initiatives aligned with IGBC, LEED, and GRIHA standards.
• Monitor and control construction-related environmental aspects including air, water, noise pollution, and waste management.
• Prepare and submit periodic environmental reports, audits, and compliance documentation.
• Drive carbon footprint reduction, rainwater harvesting, renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency, and waste recycling programs.
• Train internal teams, contractors, and site staff on environmental protection, safety, and sustainability best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Construction & Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2016, and coordinate for safe disposal.
• Identify opportunities for innovative sustainability solutions in design, material selection, and construction methodologies.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E. / B.Tech. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent; Masters degree in Environmental Management preferred.

• 9-16 years of experience in environment management, preferably in the real estate/construction sector.
