Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for an Entry Level VTMS Operator. The VTMS Operator will be responsible for monitoring and managing vessel traffic using the Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS). Daily tasks include tracking vessels, ensuring safe and efficient navigation, detecting and resolving any traffic issues, coordinating with other port and marine authorities, and maintaining accurate records of maritime activities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using Vessel Traffic Management Systems (VTMS) and other related marine navigation systems
• GMDSS Certification is a must.
• Strong observational and analytical skills for monitoring vessel movements
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with port and marine authorities
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
• Basic understanding of maritime laws, regulations, and safety protocols
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively
• A diploma or degree in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, or related field
• Experience in the maritime sector, particularly at ports, is a plus
• Willingness to work in a shift-based schedule
