Job Description

• We are responsible for the internal integration platform of the BMW Group which connects hundreds of applications across all business areas of BMW via patterns like streaming, APIs or messaging.
• In the messaging and enterprise integration team, we provide a messaging service based on IBM MQ and generic application integration with IBM ACE. Further technologies are in evaluation.
• The purpose of this role is to perform DevOps activities for our Enterprise Integration (EAI) platform including coordination of the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the platform based on IBM ACE. The role will also be responsible for the coordination of support & operations for the platform, and automation.
• Enterprise Integration DevOps engineer responsible for managing the BMW IBM ACE platform to ensure high platform availability and performance.
• Responsible for continuously improving our operating processes by suggesting change, automating, or improving documentation
• Responsible for continuously applying new group guidelines, standards, security features and best practices in the product
• Stakeholder management business partners who are on the IBM ACE platform

What should you bring along

Expected skill Sets and experience that the candidates should bring along.

• 3-6 years of experience in middleware messaging and operations in large and complex global enterprises
• Hands-on experience on IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) or IBM IIB
• Experience with capacity management (AWS, Azure, Linux and IBM ACE/IIB)
• Good Knowledge of Linux operational topics
• Understanding of PIC (Problem, Incident, Change), ITIL and ITSM frameworks
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
• Problem solving / analytical skills, tools, and techniques with experience in troubleshooting issues as well as other performance issues.
• Critical thinking and good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage highly critical production incidents.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Must have technical skills

• Experience with capacity management (AWS, Azure, Linux and IBM ACE/IIB)
• Good Knowledge of Linux operational topics
