Enterprise Backup Administrator/ System Admin

As a Backup Administrator with 8-10 years of experience and a Graduate degree in BE/MCA or Graduation from Science Stream, your primary responsibility will be managing and maintaining the Enterprise Backup systems. You should be proficient in Veritas/Commvault backup tools, with a preference for expertise in both tools. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring that backups are run as per schedule - Meeting retention requirements - Verifying full backup jobs - Maintaining an audit trail of backups and restores - Providing reports on job success/failure - Raising event alerts - Performing file restore operations as needed - Handling Backup client Installation/Troubleshooting You should also have a working knowledge of Enterprise Backup tools such as Commvault, Veritas, HPDP, and be able to coordinate with OEMs like Commvault and Veritas for troubleshooting and support. Hands-on experience with Linux OS and troubleshooting basic/advanced issues & incidents is essential. Basic working experience with Windows OS, Windows Cluster, Active Directory, and troubleshooting basic issues & incidents is also required. Moreover, familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident/Problem/Change Management, as well as knowledge of any ITSM (Ticketing) tool and System Monitoring tools is expected. You will be expected to handle day-to-day administrative activities in coordination with internal/external departments. Travel to DC Site for Break-Fix/Contingency/Lights On activities may be required as part of the role. We are looking for a candidate with good communication skills, who is an effective team player and can work with cross-functional teams. The role may involve working in day shifts but should be open to working late evenings as per business requirements. You should be achievement-oriented, adaptable to change, and able to work towards goals. Efficient prioritization and completion of multiple tasks within a given schedule are essential.
