Enterprise Architect, VP

As a Lead Enterprise Architect, youll support the architecting of customer centric, high performance, secure, robust and sustainable end to end digital products, solutions, and services that deliver business value while aligning to the banks strategic target architecture.

Youll be supporting the development of architecture capability by proactively building personal capability and sharing knowledge, best practices, lessons learned, and participating in communities of practice.

As well as this, youll be:

• Participating in architecture and design reviews of solution architectures, while adhering to approved architecture standards and principles
• Contributing to shaping and identifying opportunities for simplification and reuse within strategic investment programmes
• Collaborating with business and digital leaders to evolve architectural direction, ensuring that decisions and designs are documented in accordance with organisational standards
• Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, identifying potential opportunities and threats and raising them with the Architecture Council for further evaluation
• Promoting DevOps practices by working as part of development teams to embed architecture guidance in CI/CD pipelines

To succeed in this role, youll need extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, modern technologies such as Cloud, microservices and AI, agile architecture and DevOps practices, including a deep understanding of business use cases and emerging trends that drive organisational success.

Youll bring experience of defining and developing strategic target architectures that align with organisational objectives. This will include experience of engaging with partners across the organisation to define architectures that deliver tangible business outcomes.

Youll also demonstrate experience of:

• Collaborative decision-making processes, partnering with business and technology colleagues to articulate and evolve architectural direction
• Creating business cases to influence senior stakeholders to secure investment for architecture initiatives
• Overseeing and assuring the quality of architecture designs, with a focus on risk management and governance
• Participating in architecture and design reviews to validate that solutions meet business needs and comply with architecture standards
• Proven people capability development, including mentoring, supporting professional development, encouraging knowledge sharing across architecture teams and promoting best practices
