Job Description

Role: Enterprise Architect for Science

Location: Hyderabad

As Enterprise Architect for Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Opella’s digital future. You’ll lead the design and governance of scalable, secure, and interoperable technology solutions across Science domains, covering R&D, Medical and Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory. You’ll collaborate with global teams to simplify and optimize our digital ecosystem, ensuring alignment with strategic goals while delivering business value.The

Enterprise Architect

should be a strategic thinker, and educated in most technologies, especially around Enterprise Solutions like Veeva, Aris, IQVIA, SAP PLM and Cloud, DevOps & Agile, Big Data, Integration & API. Also, up to date with new technology trends like AR/VR, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and others.She/He will build a collaborative network with his peers inside Opella Digital organization to ensure common usage & understanding of technologies, products & services. He/she will support all Opella Digital units transversally.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic architecture across R&D, Medical and Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide goals.
  • Drive governance through Architecture Design Authority and Architecture Council, facilitating key technology decisions.
  • Design end-to-end solutions that integrate seamlessly across domains, regions, and platforms.
  • Enable cross-functional collaboration by providing blueprints, standards, and mentoring to engineering and delivery teams.
  • Promote innovation by identifying opportunities for reuse, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance and security by defining non-functional requirements and managing risk.
  • Build and nurture a global architecture community, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Experience And Qualification

  •      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  •      Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
  •      Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role in complex, multi-domain environments.
  •      Strong knowledge of Science digital technologies such as Veeva (highly recommended), ARIS, SAP PLM and others in the Science Domain as well as notions in integration platforms like SAP Integration Platform and Informatica Cloud.
  •      Deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, integration standards, and modeling techniques (e.g., C4 model).
  •      Strategic thinker with broad expertise across Cloud, DevOps, Agile, Big Data, Integration & APIs, and ERP/Enterprise Solutions.
  •      Up to date with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, AR/VR, and Blockchain, and able to build collaborative networks across Opella Digital teams to support transversal initiatives.
