SUMMARY OF POST

To mark paper-based and computer-based Cambridge English Writing tests using an online marking system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Writing Examiners are expected to:

• Complete all work to schedule in accordance with Cambridge English procedures
• respond to guidance during monitoring and marking
• apply mark schemes to the required level of accuracy
• mark at an appropriate speed

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Carry out any other duties which may be reasonably expected of you by your immediate manager or a senior director.

APPLICANTS SPECIFICATION

• Education to first degree level or equivalent*
• Recognised language teaching qualification*
• Proof of substantial, relevant, recent teaching experience ideally equivalent to at least 1,800 hours
• Pass the internal Certificate of Assessment (CoA)**

• Able to carry out administrative tasks efficiently and punctually
• Good written and spoken communication skills
• Computer literate

• Be thoroughly familiar with the process of marking online using RM Assessor
• Have a basic understanding on how to install browser plugins and enable/disable popups

Experience

Should have minimum 1 year of experience in teaching english if candidate holds a (B.ED or M.ED)

Should have 2 years of experience in teaching english if candiadte holds other qualification like (MPhil or MA)in english
