As an Engineering Leader, you will be leading a team of engineers and be responsible for their growth, deliveries, and retention. Your key responsibilities include: Deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. Review architecture and provide technical guidance for engineers and help with estimations. Drive strict adherence to industry-standard development practices related to code quality, testing, infrastructure management and build processes. Continuously identify tools and process improvements needed to help the team function better. KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS Use your experience of agile development practices and work closely with the product team in running a self-managed agile team. Coach and mentor all team members wherever necessary. Support in sprint planning and resource management while planning client commitments. Communicate with both client and internal stakeholders to unblock development where needed. Mentor, motivate and inspire your team by providing regular feedback and working closely with them to align their personal goals with that of the entire team. Willing to get hands-on with helping developers resolve issues and build POCs where required. Contribute to growing the team by helping with the talent acquisition processes. Develop and grow leadership and talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies in a fast paced, competitive environment. Technical Skills: Highly motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive • High level of experience with multiple server-side programming languages (Java with Spring Boot experience preferred) • High level of experience with multiple client-side programming languages (JavaScript React experience preferred) • High level experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST services and microservices. • Experience using cloud services for concepts such as storage and compute. Capable of applying infrastructure as code practices. Experience with Kubernetes and AWS preferred. • Experience with relational databases, non-relational databases, and messaging systems. • Provides a positive impact at a company level: influences cross-team initiatives, mentors teammates, drives innovation, guides projects with unclear outcomes, appropriately balances team autonomy with organizational guidance • Excellent track record of collaborating with stakeholders. Experience proposing new product offerings. Actively contributes to company-wide strategies using industry knowledge and foresight. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Experience : 12+ years of hands-on experience in Engineering roles, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management capacity. Education : Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
