About the Role

We are looking for an

Engineering Manager

who will lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a set of interoperability services connecting healthcare providers with insurance payers. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams, and specific expertise with the ANSI X12 standard transactions used by the U.S. healthcare system for provider-payer communications.

A Day in the Life

Design and deploy connectivity services for prior authorization and other payer-provider use cases, using X12 standards
Collaborate closely with the Innovaccer Flow application product and engineering teams to advance Innovaccer s prior authorization and related functionality
Ensure alignment with and use of general Innovaccer interoperability services, in the X12 context
Provide oversight and managerial guidance to team members
Collaborate with interoperability product directors and managers to maintain development roadmaps for payer connection capabilities
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements
Share learnings from your health IT experience, and specifically your ANSI X12 expertise, with the overall Innovaccer product and engineering teams

What You Need

Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of experience in engineering
1+ years of experience managing other engineers
Demonstrated experience deploying X12 interfaces
Deep knowledge of the X12 standard
Familiarity with HL7 FHIR and specifically with Da Vinci Project profiles is a strong plus
Expertise in Python
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to influence peers and management, and champion best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

Knowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use
Experience with agile development methodologies
