Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Electrical design process for power transformers and support internal connections electrical layouts and overall transformer design. 2. Understanding magnetic fields flux permeability and losses (hysteresis and eddy current). 3. Design and optimize internal electrical connections and layouts to ensure maximum operational efficiency and safety of power transformers. 4. Ensure compliance with international standards such as ISO IEC IEEE and other relevant guidelines in transformer design and manufacturing processes. 5. Apply advanced knowledge of electromagnetics to improve transformer performance and optimize design characteristics. 6. Conduct and contribute to DFMEA assessments to identify potential design risks and implement mitigation strategies. 7. Utilize failure analysis techniques like Root Cause Analysis (RCA)8D5 Why & fishbone to investigate and address transformer failures or underperformance. 8. Apply FEA tools to simulate and evaluate electromagnetic fields thermal behavior and mechanical stresses in transformer designs. 9. Work closely with engineering teams production units and external stakeholders to refine and improve transformer designs. 10 Maintain thorough design documentation including specifications test reports and compliance records.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or master degree in electrical engineering. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical design specifically in power transformer design or related areas.

Technical Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of power transformer electrical design internal connections and layouts. - Strong knowledge of international standards (ISO IEC IEEE etc. ). - Proficiency with Lean concept i. e. Kaizans 5S problem solving tools etc. - Expertise in electromagnetics and its application in transformer design. - Proficiency in failure analysis techniques particularly Root Cause Analysis (RCA). - Experience with DFMEA and other risk management techniques in electrical design. - Familiarity with international & national EHS norms.
Tools Proficiency:
- Familiarity with FEA tools for transformer design simulations. - Proficiency in relevant electrical design tools and softwares. - 2D autocad simulation.
Language Skill:
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management skills.
