Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Airtel, you will lead and mentor the engineering team to develop products and services in alignment with Airtel's growth objectives. Your responsibilities will include problem-solving, architectural design, codebase maintenance, and working on both existing and new projects. You will be expected to provide technical guidance, establish best practices, and ensure end-to-end delivery of business solutions. In this role, you will also be responsible for people management, conducting performance reviews, providing feedback to team members, and developing succession plans. You will oversee resource allocation, recruitment, and hiring to meet organizational goals and deadlines effectively. Your duties will involve project management, contributing to the planning and execution of engineering projects, and ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. Effective communication and collaboration with engineering teams, stakeholders, and other departments such as quality, operations, product, and program will be essential to ensure alignment with business objectives. Addressing conflicts and fostering a positive working environment will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be expected to promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within your team, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and industry trends to enhance team efficiency. We also utilize caching technologies like Redis, Aerospike, or Hazelcast, along with data storage solutions including Oracle, S3, Postgres, MySQL, or MongoDB. Our tooling stack comprises Git, command line interfaces, Jenkins, JMeter, Postman, Gatling, Nginx/Haproxy, Jira/Confluence, Grafana, and Kibana.,
