Role Overview

As the Engineering Lead for ATM and Debit Card Management Systems (DCMS), you will be the technical backbone of our card services division. You will oversee the reliability, innovation, and seamless operation of our switching platforms and banking infrastructure. This role requires a blend of deep technical "hands-on" expertise and strategic project management to ensure our payment systems remain world-class.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership:

  Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of ATM, DCMS, and Payment Switching platforms (e.g., ISO 8583-based systems).

• Operational Excellence:

  Act as the Tier 3/4 escalation point for troubleshooting post-deployment issues, ensuring minimal downtime for critical banking services.

• Architecture & Integration:

  Oversee the integration between Core Banking Systems (CBS) and switching peripherals, ensuring data integrity and high-speed transaction processing.

• Automation & Optimisation:

  Drive initiatives to automate routine monitoring, optimise system performance, and reduce manual intervention in card lifecycle management.

• Project & Budget Management:

  Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, including resource allocation, vendor management, timeline tracking, and CAPEX/OPEX budget precision.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Work closely with Product, Security, and Compliance teams to align engineering efforts with regulatory requirements (RBI mandates, NPCI guidelines).

Technical Qualifications

• Core Domain Expertise:

  10+ years of experience specifically within ATM Switching, Debit Card Management Systems, and overall Card Lifecycle.

• Systems Knowledge:

  Deep understanding of CBS architecture (Finacle, BaNCS, or similar) and how it interfaces with payment switches.

Protocols & Tools:

• Strong grasp of

  ISO 8583

  messaging, EMV standards, and HSM configurations.
• Hands-on proficiency with

  SQL

  for data analysis and

  Postman

  for API testing.
• Experience with

  API Management

  and

  APM tools

  (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or similar).
• Ability to derive insights using

  Power BI

  for system performance reporting.

• Hardware/Network:

  Solid understanding of ATM hardware components and the networking layers (TCP/IP, SD-WAN) that support them.

Education

B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics (Masters preferred).
