QA knowledge

Roles & Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate

  client software applications

  (web/mobile/enterprise systems)
• Assess whether the

  software quality and features justify the quoted price

• Analyze

  technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms

  used in the software
• Evaluate

  code quality (high-level), test coverage, and QA practices

• Perform

  functional, usability, regression, and exploratory testing

• Identify

  gaps, risks, limitations, and improvement areas

• Review

  security, performance, scalability, and reliability

  aspects
• Verify compliance with

  industry standards and best practices

• Prepare

  detailed audit/evaluation reports

  with findings, risk levels, and recommendations
• Present audit conclusions to internal stakeholders or management
  
• Support decision-making for

  software acceptance, pricing, or renegotiation

Technical Skills Required

• Strong understanding of

  Software Testing (Manual & Automation concepts)

• Knowledge of

  SDLC & STLC

• Ability to analyze

  software architecture at a high level

• Experience testing

  Web & Mobile applications

• Knowledge of

  modern technologies & stacks

  (React, Angular, Java, .NET, APIs, Cloud basics)
• Understanding of

  QA processes, test strategies, and test documentation

• Familiarity with

  API testing

  (Postman or similar tools)
• Basic understanding of

  performance and security testing concepts

• Experience with

  bug tracking and reporting tools

  (JIRA, etc.)

Analytical & Reporting Skills

• Ability to evaluate

  software quality vs cost/value

• Strong

  analytical and critical thinking

  skills
• Experience in preparing

  audit, evaluation, and recommendation reports

• Clear documentation and presentation skills
  
• Ability to explain technical findings to

  non-technical stakeholders

Good to Have

• Exposure to

  software audits or third-party product evaluation

• Knowledge of

  ISO / quality standards

• Basic automation testing knowledge
  
• Understanding of

  licensing models and software pricing factors

• Experience working in

  client-facing roles
