Engineer Smart Manufacturing

As part of this role, you will be responsible for the digitization and improvement of plant operations and efficiencies utilizing advanced automation and data analytics to merge Information Technology (IT) with operational Technology (OT). This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new team working on high-impact projects that involve big data analytics and machine learning to enhance manufacturing operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Conducting in-house conceptual studies to develop advanced control system architecture - Designing advanced analytic solutions, testing them, and deploying them in plants - Leading data acquisition and extraction, data management, and applying quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques - Coordinating with the Procurement and Logistics team to ensure on-time delivery of project materials - Collaborating with Engineering Consultants and Vendors to finalize engineering deliverables - Coordinating with key stakeholders at sites for the implementation of new technology solutions and collaborating with partners/vendors for project execution - Addressing and resolving application-related issues faced by internal customers and translating usability and field implementation findings into design improvements - Communicating with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements like GUI, screen, and interface designs - Reviewing process automation documents and planning and scheduling end-user trainings - Assisting Project Managers in defining project objectives, scope, and ensuring the delivery and implementation of solutions In terms of qualifications, the role requires: - Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - 5 to 9 years of experience, preferably in Plant operation or CES - Experience in administering data historian (IP-21) - Exposure to Big data analytics, MATLAB would be an added advantage - Ability to learn new technologies - Knowledge of Hadoop, HANA, Big Data, SAS, Python, R-programming will be an added advantage Additionally, the desired skills and competencies for this role include: - Good Communication Skills - Sufficient Knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, OPC, APC - Hands-on experience in the design of Supervisory Data Acquisition System (SCADA), DCS, PLCs - Familiarization with various measurement systems, advanced automation technologies, process data historian, and Manufacturing Execution System,
