You will be responsible for developing and validating process simulations using tools such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, Aspen EDR, Aspen Adsorption, and HTRI. Your tasks will include model building, tuning, and integration of the models in OTS software and other applications. You will simulate all normal operations including hot or cold start-up and complete or partial shutdown operations, as well as attain Steady State and Dynamic Simulation for various processes. Additionally, you will perform detailed Heat and Mass Balance (HMB) calculations and hydraulic analysis across various process systems. Another key responsibility will be to execute equipment sizing for unit operations such as distillation columns, heat exchangers, evaporators, separators, and pumps. You should have a BE/ BTech / MTech in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline and implementation experience in Simulation software like Petro-Sim, MIMIC, OmegaLand, UniSim Design, ASPEN HYSYS, DYNSIM, Aspen-Dynamics, Aveva, Promax, or similar. Design to Commissioning experience on Simulation projects including process modelling, DCS integration, OTS, Scenario training, model testing, FAT, MAT, PDET (Post data equalisation tests) is required. You will evaluate engineering documents such as process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, Equipment Data Sheets, C&Es, unit process dynamics to develop simulations of complex processes. Strong knowledge and experience in automation systems in Chemical, Petro-chemical, Oil And Gas, and Pharmaceutical domains is expected, along with the ability to generate documentation such as FDS, DDS, MAT, and FAT procedures. A deep understanding of separation technologies including distillation, extraction, evaporation, chemical reactions, adsorption, pervaporation, etc., is essential. Preferred skills include closed-loop control (computer, DCS, PID control), MVC tuning concepts, APC, and MES.
