Engineer / Senior Engineer : Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance

Required Qualifications

• B.E. / Diploma in

  Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering

• 38 years

  of experience in plant & utility maintenance
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and multitasking skills
• Competent in maintenance planning, scheduling & inventory control
• Good communication, teamwork and people-handling skills
• Proficient in computer operations; knowledge of

  SAP

  preferred

Technical Skills Required

• Mechanical & Electrical troubleshooting
• Conventional & CNC Machine maintenance
• HT/LT systems, Switchgear, Motors, Transformers
• PLC, HMI, Drives, Servo, Encoder troubleshooting
• Pneumatic & Hydraulic systems
• Utility equipment:

  DG, Compressors, EOT Cranes, STP/ETP, HVAC

• Electrical drawings, SLD, ladder logic interpretation
• Preventive/Breakdown/Condition-based maintenance
• 5S, TPM, Kaizen, Quality Circle

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Control Systems

• Read and interpret

  SLD, electrical drawings, ladder logic

  and diagnose issues accurately.
• Troubleshoot motors, switchgears, SCADA components, servo motors, encoders, drives and electronic cards.
• Perform PLC & HMI program backup, transfer, and basic logic implementation.
• Handle maintenance of HT/LT panels, 11 kV substation, transformers, DG sets, EOT cranes and CNC/conventional machines.
• Optimize power consumption, power factor and support energy-saving initiatives.
• Modify or prepare new electrical circuit diagrams as per requirement.

Mechanical & Utility Maintenance

• Attend breakdowns of plant machinery (conventional & CNC), utility systems, compressors, ovens, furnaces, STP/ETP and other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems effectively.
• Support erection, commissioning, modification and project activities related to plant equipment.
• Implement cost-effective maintenance practices and support spare parts management.

Maintenance Planning & Execution

• Prepare and execute

  preventive maintenance schedules

  and ensure timely closure.
• Perform condition-based and opportunistic maintenance to enhance equipment reliability.
• Monitor, control, and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and update all records related to integrated management systems and maintenance compliance.

Team Support & Vendor Coordination

• Lead and guide technicians for efficient task execution.
• Provide hands-on technical support during breakdowns and escalate issues to vendors or higher management when required.
• Coordinate with external agencies for AMC activities (cranes, RO systems, ACs, handling equipment, etc.) and ensure adherence to schedules.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure statutory compliance with electrical inspectorate requirements, SEB norms, and maintain all certificates/documentation.
• Follow 5S, TPM pillars and Quality Circle methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Prepare maintenance MIS reports, procedures, work instructions and improvement strategies.
