Key

• The O&M Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous, efficient, and compliant operation of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), and High-Purity Water Systems (Purified Water, WFI, Clean Steam) within a pharmaceutical facility. The role focuses on system performance, regulatory compliance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and delivering uninterrupted high-quality water essential for pharma manufacturing processes.

Job Profile:

• Handling the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and High Purity Water Systems (such as PW, WFI, and Pure Steam Systems).
• Operate and maintain ETP, STP, RO, Softener, DM, and UF plants.
• Handle high purity systems like Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), & Pure Steam Generation systems.
• Conduct routine plant monitoring, preventive maintenance, and equipment servicing.
• Monitor and control process parameters to achieve desired water quality.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments, pumps, valves, filters, and dosing systems.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and coordinate with the technical team for timely rectification.
• Maintain daily operation and maintenance logs and submit reports.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality norms.
• Support validation, calibration, and documentation activities as per GMP requirements for pharma clients).

Desired Profile:

• Diploma Engineering / B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical / Environment Engineering) with 2 to 5 yrs of experience in Operation & Maintenance of ETP/STP/WTP and high purity water systems (PW/WFI).
• Must have O&M experience in water systems within Pharma / Biotech / API / Formulation plants
• Experience in maintaining high-purity water systems (PW, WFI, Clean Steam) preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of WTP, WWTP, ZLD, RO, UF, MBR, EDI, DM, PW/WFI systems.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling utilities, ensuring smooth plant performance, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Understanding of cGMP, pharma water standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Good documentation skills as per pharma regulatory requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
• Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Strong analytical thinking, teamwork, and shift handling capability.
• Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Should be based in or willing to relocate to Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
