Sr. Manager - Weld Maintenance

Purpose of the Role

The role is responsible for Planning, monitoring and execution of Press Shop Maintenance; responsible for upkeep of Press lines and Blanking Line to ensure optimum uptime.

Job Responsibility

Annual Maintenance Planning

-Identify the probable major breakdown issues in the shop and prepare an annual maintenance plan

-Finalize the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule based on the specific machine requirements & breakdown analysis for assigned shop on an annual basis

-Press and Guide system health monitoring and shutdown Maintenance -Planning and overhauling of the equipment as per schedule

-Breakdown maintenance management

-Review the breakdown maintenance reports and take necessary actions to maximize the uptime of machines on a daily basis

-Analyze the breakdowns and plan for counter measures in case of repetitive breakdowns on a weekly basis

New installations Management

-Conduct technical assessment. Participate in DAP (Design Approval Process) along with Planning & CPED Departments

-Verify various reports (snag point closure status, machine geometrical accuracy reports and quality related reports) and take the handover from Technical Services for regular operations

Supplier Management

-Plan & Optimise spares inventory to monitor timely repair, replacement & upgradation

-Participate in inspections & trials at the supplier location prior to delivery in case of critical items

Quality Management

-Sustenance and improvement in ZDS methodology (Zero Defect Stations) for parameters related to machining

-Periodic checking and correction of critical process parameters of critical to quality (CTQ)

-Maintain documentation as per ISO certification requirements

Safety Management

-Drive Safety Culture through BBT owners to drive Du Pont Safety Standard in the assigned maintenance areas

-Monitor sustenance and improvement of critical to safety (CTS) stations

-Ensure safety FST training for newly joined employees, contract labour and trainees

-Human Resources/Manpower Planning

-Prepare and validate the manpower requirement for maintenance along with PSD & monitor adherence to training plan on a quarterly basis

Cost Management

-Monitoring and control of Variable Conversion Cost (VCC) & Fixed Cost Conversion with focus on power cost reduction through new ideas implementation and administrative control

-Prepare the budgets for assigned shops

Desired Candidate Profile

Must possess overall experience of 7-14 years in the Press Shop technology, and must possess sound technical knowledge of Maintenance for the Press Shop with minimum 5-7 cycles in Line Maintenance
